Tower House is a Georgian house in Cavendish Street just off the square through the medieval arch. The property is just steps from traditional pubs, restaurants, shops and the race course. Horse racing at Cartmel dates back to 1856. Race meetings are held on Spring and Sum mer Bank Holiday Weekends. There are a total of seven race days this year.

The village of Cartmel is packed with historic features. The Priory, dating back from the 12th Century, attracts over 60,000 visitors a year. The Gatehouse dated 1330 overlooks the square. The Market Cross, Fish Slabs and Water Pump still remain in the heart of this lakeland village.

There are a selection of shops in Cartmel, offering clothes, gifts, hand-made chocolates, perfumes and soaps, books, art and antiques. Cartmel is also home to a variety of traditional Lakeland inns, with the extremely welcoming Cavendish Arms just across the road, tea rooms and a brasserie, not to mention the internationally acclaimed Michelin Two Star restaurant, L’Enclume, which is literally only steps away.

Flat 4 in the heart of the picturesque village of Cartmel is perfect for escaping to at any time of the year. Flat 2 is a cosy one bedroom characterful ground floor flat. The door of the Flat opens into a kitchen-lounge-diner with leather sofa, flat screen free-view TV/DVD and Wifi.  The well appointed kitchen includes dishwasher, microwave,  and washing machine & dryer. There is a cosy bedroom with a beautiful sleigh double bed and quality bed linen. A fully tiled bathroom with heated towel rail, bath and over bath shower completes the accommodation.
